A Pool Skater Reborn !!
I have to give my son Kaiel credit for getting me back into skateboarding.
It will never surpass surfing as my passion but it is still a blast. We have been skating together 3 days a week and it seems to be our bonding time.
Kaiel is turning into a great young pool rider and he is only 11!
I seem to be picking it up pretty quick again also.
Here is a funny then and now pic I made.

Another crazy note.
Just recently I spent $800 to buy an old Jay Smith Spoon Nose board.
It is the one above in the picture on the left. The story goes like this...after I stopped skating in the 80s I sold it to a roommate for $40 who then unfortunately gave it to Goodwill.
Call it nostalgia but over the past couple of years I have been on a mission to find this board. I ended up posting a "want list" on http://www.artofskateboarding.com two years ago and finally just this month someone replied saying they have the board....!!! I couldn't believe it.
