The week of traffic !!!

This has been the worst week of traffic I can remember in San Diego. Pretty much every time we jumped on the freeway to head down to UCSD it was running about 10mph. The frustrating part is that a majority of the people I see driving are one to a car.

The climax of this was Tuesday when a mini-van plowed into the back of a stalled semi truck near the Carmel Valley exit. Unfortuately all the occupants died and the sad part was that they were on there way to catch a plane for the Bahamas.

Anyway not to trivialize this tragic event but south bound traffic on both PCH and the 5 came to a halt. I think the speeds were somewhere around 2 mph on the 5 south and the coast wasn't any better.
I ended up stopping at Starbucks with Mary and then heading home.

There are just so many people living and driving here now !! We are starting to look into less crowded options and setting a 5 year target.
